I love to cook fresh food, and in fact it’s an important part of keeping good mental health for me. In those weeks where I am time starved. Where it is hard to find the energy or motivation to cook. I am helped along by the time saving gadgets I have invested in over the years. The magic bullet kitchen express is one of the kitchen gadgets I can not live without.
The magic bullet kitchen express review
As it stands this is a very affordable way to introduce a food processor to your kitchen kit. I also have a Magimix 4200 food processor. It is much bigger, so it has a much larger capacity and as you would expect it costs more too. At the moment you can buy them from Magimix for £340. I will say that I have had mine since 2010 and (touch wood) it is still going strong.
But in my day to day cooking I actually don’t need something so big. I want a small, simple tool for chopping, shredding and grating ingredients for family meals. Nutribullet describe the magic bullet express as:
Small but mighty, this countertop friendly 2-in-1 blender and food processor combo system does it all. One base with two attachments to blend, chop, mix, slice, shred and more. Cut down on prep time and tackle any recipe with ease!
In my mid week cooking I whizz through meal prep because of this small but mighty food processor. It is small enough to keep in the cupboard and simple enough to clean quickly (reducing post dinner tidy up). I use it to make the soffritto base of my ragu when I am making a small batch. If you want to make Family Feed’s Halloumi, lemon & herb traybake this is the food processor I used to make the lemon and herb dressing in the recipe.
At the moment you can buy the magic bullet kitchen express for £59.99 from the Nutribullet website. I got mine in 2020. A few months ago the base cracked and I was no longer able to use the work bowl attachment. To my amazement I reached out to nutribullet to enquire about a replacement. They sent me a replacement for free the next day! What an incredible approach to customer loyalty. No doubt it has made me love this gadget all the more!
Why should you buy the magic bullet kitchen express
There are lots of fancy pants, small food processors on the market. When my attachment bowl broke I was tempted to buy the kitchen aid cordless mini chopper. But nutribullet saved me from myself when they replaced the bowl for free. It reminded me that my specific use case for the magic bullet kitchen express is: to have a food processor that I can use to speed up small cooking tasks and meal prep. This food processor does just that. As a bonus I can also make smoothies for us all in the blender. It all sits away in the cupboard out of sight unitl the next time.
